Our Space

We all take pride in our renovated Victorian Home that truly becomes your child’s home away from home. The house is ideally situated in the heart of Charlotte right across from the library and right next door to the Charlotte Fire Station. The teachers can often be seen walking with small groups of children to check out books from the library, mail letters at the post office or visit the Senior Center.

Our expansive outdoor play yard with its own pine forest is a magical place where children spend many hours each day in all seasons exploring their natural surroundings. Children are free to dig, build, run, climb, chase, hide, swing, take turns and just be joy filled
In addition to our play yard, the Center has a large organic garden where children observe and care for vegetables from seedlings to mature plants. The vegetable eventually find their way into snacks for the children including zucchini muffins, homemade salsa, vegetable soup and other yummy treats.

The outdoor classroom completes our learning spaces. This space provides many of the same opportunities for learning that can be found in typical classrooms. There is dramatic play, science and art areas where children carry out investigations, use their imaginations, and create wonderful pieces of art.
