We respect all families and recognize the essential role that families play in the lives of young children. We seek to include and celebrate families from all backgrounds. We maintain an open door policy and encourage parents to feel comfortable coming to the Center at any time throughout the day.

The Center depends on the active involvement of all families to ensure continuation of our high quality programming. There are many different avenues for parents to become involved in the Center. There are small one time opportunities such as chaperoning on a field trip, visiting a classroom to read or help with a cooking project or taking part in a bake sale. For parents who wish to become more involved there are opportunities to serve on Parent Volunteer Organization or the Board of Directors.

Through daily contact, daily reports, photographs, newsletters and parent/teacher conferences, teachers and administrators keep families informed of their child’s daily activities and overall growth and development.

Finally, on many occasions throughout the year families are invited to attend social activities held at the Center. This helps families to become acquainted with other families in their child’s class. Some of the social activities include two Open Houses, a Winter Solstice Celebration and a Family Barbecue.
